If you stake VDT in the Sheriff's Vault and hit a jackpot, you now get extra. The Staker Jackpot Bonus is a treasury-funded percentage bonus applied on top of any Mini, Major, or Grand jackpot win. The bonus scales with your staking tier: Deputy stakers get 2% extra, Sheriff gets 5%, Marshal gets 10%, and Governor stakers get a full 20% bonus.
Here is a concrete example. Suppose you are staking 10,000 VDT (Marshal tier) and you hit a Major jackpot worth 50,000 chips. Without the bonus, you receive 50,000 chips. With the Marshal bonus, you receive an additional 5,000 bonus chips on top — for a total payout of 55,000 chips. The bonus chips are promotional credits funded from the treasury, not from the jackpot pool itself, so other players' jackpot pools are never affected.
The bonus is calculated at the moment of the jackpot hit using your staking tier at that instant. You cannot stake after seeing a jackpot result — the system reads your locked stake from the database at payout time. This prevents any gaming of the system. Your VDT must already be committed in the vault before the winning round occurs.
Staker badges are now visible across the platform. Your staking tier appears on game leaderboards, in the jackpot winners feed, and next to your address wherever player badges are shown. It is a visible marker of commitment — and other players can see exactly who the serious stakers are.
Combined with the regular staking revenue share from the treasury, the jackpot bonus creates a layered incentive for long-term VDT commitment. Stakers earn passive treasury distributions, get enhanced jackpot payouts, and display their tier prominently across the saloon. The bonus applies to all three jackpot tiers equally — Mini, Major, and Grand — so every jackpot hit, big or small, benefits from your stake.
