VIP Tiers Explained, and Why We Retired Rakeback

This post used to explain VIP rakeback: a percentage of your net losses credited back automatically, up to 40% at Marshal tier. That programme has been retired. It was paused in July 2026 and closed on 19 August 2026, and every balance that had accrued was paid out in full to the players holding it. Nothing is owed from it. If you had a balance, the chips are in your account and you will have seen a notice explaining the amount and the reason the next time you signed in.

The reason is worth stating plainly, because the alternative is letting people guess. The rakeback rates we advertised could not be funded. Here is the arithmetic. Of every 100 chips wagered, 90 go to the house pool that pays the games, 5 seed the progressive jackpots, and 5 go to the treasury. The jackpots are returned to players, so the treasury is the only bucket that could fund a rebate: 5 chips per 100 wagered. But a rebate pays out on your NET LOSSES, and on an even-money bet at our target RTP you lose roughly 57 times in 100. A 40% rebate on those losses costs about 23 chips per 100 wagered, against the 5 available to fund it.

That is not a rounding error, and it was not a bug in the code. The code did exactly what the tier table promised. The promise itself was the mistake: at the top two tiers the rebate was large enough that a player was better off wagering than not, which is not a loyalty programme, it is a leak. We could have quietly rebased the rates to something solvent, but the rates were the entire offer, and a 0.25% rebate advertised as a 40% one is not the same product.

So the choice was to honour what had accrued and close the programme, rather than keep it paused indefinitely or reopen it at a rate nobody would recognise. Every accrued balance was settled in full at the advertised rate, rounded up rather than down, as ordinary chips with no wagering requirement and no lock. They are yours to play or withdraw.

What remains is the tier ladder itself, and it is real. There are five tiers, based on lifetime chips wagered: Drifter at the start, Outlaw at 5,000 chips, Desperado at 25,000, Gunslinger at 100,000, and Marshal at 500,000. Your tier is your rank. It shows as a badge next to your address on the public leaderboard, and Marshal holders keep direct access to the ops team.

Tier progress is permanent and cumulative. It never resets, no matter how long you go between sessions. Wager 80,000 chips this month and pause for three months: when you return and wager another 20,000, you cross the Gunslinger threshold. The counter only moves forward.

Progress is also game-agnostic. Every chip wagered across any game counts toward your lifetime total, so Paydirt, Deadeye Shootout, Viper Run and Dead Man's Hand all accumulate into the same number. There is nothing to opt into and nothing to claim. Your current tier and your progress toward the next one are on your profile and on the VIP page.

One last thing, since it is the obvious question: no, there is no replacement rebate planned, and we are not going to announce one we cannot fund. If that changes, it will be because the arithmetic works, and the arithmetic will be published alongside it.
